Where Every Bite Tells a Story

At its core, El Sazón de la Tía Flor celebrates authentic Mexican cooking, prepared with care and a devotion to flavor. Every dish feels handcrafted, and every recipe tells a story of tradition passed through generations.

The Tacos That Built a Reputation

The tacos here have earned near-legendary status among regulars. Each tortilla is soft yet sturdy, cradling generous fillings that burst with flavor. The Birria Tacos, slow-cooked in a rich, spiced broth, are tender and deeply satisfying especially when dipped into the savory consommé that accompanies them.

If you prefer something lighter, the Fish Tacos offer a fresh, coastal twist with crisp slaw and zesty lime crema. Vegetarians aren’t left out either; the Veggie Tacos are filled with grilled vegetables and avocado, proving that simplicity can be just as flavorful.

Traditional Dishes with Heart

Beyond the tacos, the menu unfolds into a celebration of home-style Mexican fare. The Chilaquiles Pastor bring a comforting crunch with each bite, layered with marinated pork, tangy sauce, and a sprinkle of cheese. It’s hearty, messy in the best way, and full of character.

The Guacamole and Chips, made fresh to order, are a perfect start to any meal—bright, citrusy, and smooth with just the right amount of texture. For something more filling, try the Burrito de Pollo Asado, packed with grilled chicken, rice, beans, and salsa. Every element feels familiar yet freshly made.

Sweet Finishes That Warm the Soul

Dessert is not an afterthought here. The Tres Leches Cake is soft and airy, soaked just enough to melt on your tongue without being overly sweet. The Churros, dusted with cinnamon sugar, arrive warm and crisp, best enjoyed with a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce. Each bite feels like a small celebration—simple, comforting, and nostalgic.

Comfort, Community, and Connection

El Sazón de la Tía Flor isn’t trying to be flashy. Its charm lies in its honesty. The tables are small, the portions generous, and the flavors full-bodied. It’s a place where locals meet for lunch, families gather for dinner, and newcomers quickly become regulars.

The restaurant’s rhythm is calm but lively. Even during the lunch rush, service remains attentive and personal. For convenience, guests can find easy parking nearby, and takeout is handled with the same care as dine-in orders.

The Taste of Authentic Mexican Craft

Every dish here reflects the heart of Mexican home cooking bold flavors, slow preparation, and a respect for fresh ingredients. The salsas are made daily, the meats are marinated overnight, and the tortillas carry the unmistakable aroma of something made by hand.

It’s this attention to detail that gives El Sazón de la Tía Flor its soul. You can taste the difference between food made for profit and food made from love; here, it’s clearly the latter.

What customers say?

“ El Sazón de la Tía Flor never disappoints! The tacos are consistently delicious: authentic flavour, generous fillings, and a great variety to choose from. The $1 taco promo is an amazing deal, though it’s worth noting that everything is extra (limes, plates, salsas, etc.), so each taco comes closer to $1.50, which is still a steal for the quality. The service is quick and friendly, even when the place is packed. If you’re planning to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday for the special, definitely head there early because by around 5pm they start running out of certain meats, and they only stay open until they sell out. Personally, I love trying multiple fillings each visit, and every single one has been on point. Paired with their refreshing drinks and salsa on the side, it feels like a true taquería experience right here in Toronto. Authentic, flavourful, and always worth the trip! ”

“ Lettuce taco ‘bout how amazing this place is. These $1 tacos? Nacho average deal. Add the spicy sauce for $1.29, it's enough sauce for at least 12+ tacos. The Latin music and vibes had me half expecting a cactus wearing sunglasses walking out to offer me a margarita. 10/10 would come back in flip flops next time. ”

“ Food is Authentic and amazing. I tried a too good to go box from them came with 4 pork tacos and salsa verde! Portion was great food was great! Super fresh! Would like too try other options on there menu and will most definitely get another too good to go box in the future! ”

“ Holá ustedes! Where to begin with El Sazón de la Tía Flor... well the decor is lovely and vibrant! It immediately puts you into a joyful mood and the staff never fail to make me smile Also, the washrooms downstairs are impeccably clean and so pleasant to use. Then there's the food... ay dios mío!!! Es muy muy rico, buenísisimo, verdad! Guys, you HAVE to try this place, it's a hidden gem in Leaside/industrial area that I kind of want to gatekeep :))) You can never go wrong with El Sazón. Go for the dollar taco specials but stay for the rich atmosphere and even richer food I'm currently just salivating thinking about my tacos de birria that I'm about to devour as we speak. Muchas gracias mis hermanas Todo es bueno y feliz por tu éxito! Trust me on this one, you gotta try it! ”

“ Incredible tacos and unbeatable flavor! We had an amazing experience at El Sazón de la Tía Flor! We ordered the carne, pollo, and al pastor tacos—each one was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The meats were tender and seasoned just right, and the fresh pico de gallo on top added the perfect touch of freshness and heat. They also served us chips that were crisp and delicious, making the perfect appetizer while we waited (which wasn’t long at all!). You can taste the love and tradition in every bite—it truly feels like a homemade meal straight from the heart. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was fantastic. This spot is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful food. We’ll definitely be coming back for more! ”

“ Food is amazing. Flavours are authentic compared to what you would expect if you were to visit Mexico yourself. Young lady taking orders out the front was not very attentive or helpful. The attitude I received felt like I was bothering her when I asked questions about the menu. The menu posted on the wall has Spanish words to describe the meat options so you may not know what you’re ordering unless you ask or you google it. It’s a very tiny restaurant with a limited seating. Most people just order and leave. ”

“ Great price, great variety, friendly staff and economically friendly! Every Tuesday and Wednesday, they offer $1 tacos. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out. I arrived just before 6:30pm with no lineup at the counter. They have several tables where customers can dine in. We waited maybe 10 to 15 minutes, so the wait time is extremely reasonable for a promotion this great! ”

“ I picked up 4 Al Pastor tacos, 4 pulled chicken tacos, 2 chicken enchiladas and a Chilequilas, and everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. All of the tacos were filled with copious amounts of meat protein and served with a side sauce, onions and cilantro. Super delicious! I also ordered a Horchata was was incredibly good, light, creamy, slightly sweetened and perfectly spiced with cinnamon. It was so delicious and refreshing! The service was just as great. I'll definitely be back for more! ”
